2009
Matthew Winslow Founds Winslow Homes
Winslow Custom Homes, based in Youngsville, North Carolina, was founded in 2009 by Matthew Winslow. He knew for a long time that he wanted to build a design studio — he just did not know where. He had driven past the boarded-up building in downtown Youngsville that would become the Winslow Homes office space and Design Studio, when one day it dawned on him that it was the place he had been looking for. While he initially wanted to tear the building down to start from scratch, after meeting with the family who owned the property and realizing their emotional investment in the space, he decided to renovate it and keep its beloved history intact.
2022
Winslow Homes Partners with Grand Oak Builders
Atlanta-based Grand Oak Builders acquires Winslow Custom Homes. The company will operate as Winslow Grand, LLC dba Winslow Homes, and will continue our passion for building based on the principles of integrity, service, and quality.
2024
Winslow Homes becomes Grand Oak Homes
In November of 2024 Winslow Homes becomes Grand Oak Homes, marking a fresh chapter in our journey as a construction builder. Our updated look reflects not only our commitment to innovation and craftsmanship but also our dedication to bringing your vision to life with precision and care. While our appearance may have changed, our core values remain the same—quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction. With this new chapter, we’re more inspired than ever to build homes and spaces that are not only structurally sound but also beautifully designed for the way you live today and in the future.
